{February 8, 2012}   Jobbing: My New Career

Like many today, I am looking for a new job. Jobbing is stressful, time-consuming and could easily be considered a full time position in itself. Scouring websites like SimplyHired and Monster for openings, researching the potential companies, spending hours filling in their “convenient” application forms and then watching the hopes for my economic future electronically make it’s way into the black hole that is online recruiting.

All the while, I’m reading articles that say I need to freshen up my resume, write personal cover letters for each position, continuosly update my LinkedIn account and increase my web presence, hence the creation of this blog.

I’m adding Jobbing to the list of things I should get paid for, along with discount consumerism, entertainment trivia and self-proclaimed sarcastically witty comments.
